Club news
Our first few months
From our very first ride to a vote on the name — here's how Bells Angels came to be.

We started to come together as a new cycling club for women in February 2026. Membership soon began to grow, and on 10 March we held our inaugural ride: a 30-mile route to Limekilns.
Before long, our Facebook and WhatsApp groups were up and running, and more rides were being posted, with a range of distances to suit different riders.
We had started. It was happening.

Of course, we needed a name. "New cycling club" wasn't going to cut it for much longer. By the end of March, after putting it to a vote, Bells Angels was the outright winner — and Bells Angels Cycling Club was born. By mid-May, we had become a Scottish Cycling affiliated club.
Our latest development is this wonderful new website. A huge thank you to Alex Dean for his creativity, time and effort in putting it together. We really can't thank you enough.
